Gourmet Deli Sandwiches with "the works"

Lombardi's Deli is known for its gourmet deli sandwiches and hot BBQ right off the grill, and its new location in the middle of downtown Petaluma serves a full complement of sandwiches, pastas, side dishes and drinks to eat in, to go and for delivery. You can get a candy bar, a fudge brownie, and a Good Humor ice cream bar. A sign proclaims "We Deliver Downtown."
Among the most popular gourmet deli sandwiches are tri-tip, turkey and chicken breast. You can get a side of Pedroni's potato salad, garlicky mashed potatoes or orzo salad. Specialty sandwiches come with names like Killer Joe (tri-tip with melted horseradish cheddar cheese) and Momma Lil's (1/2-pound tri-tri with Hungarian peppers and pepper jack cheese). The ever-popular stuffed eggs (elsewhere called deviled) are still on the menu.
Open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. seven days a week, the deli offers hungry people a place to stop off while shopping, sit at tables in sunny Putnam Plaza or indoors with a newspaper.
Lombardi's Deli had its grand opening in 1999 when Lee Lombardi responded to years of hearing "When are you going to open your own restaurant?" and the rest, as they say, is history! The barbecues are hot all day cooking tri tips of beef, pork or beef ribs and chicken. The recent addition of a crab pot means fresh crab cooked daily in season.
Fresh grilled vegetables, a gourmet salad, Lee's chili, baked beans or garlic bread and a hot tri tip sandwich enjoyed at the deli or take out can't be beat! Come pick up a rack of ribs, a whole or half chicken and a few sides on your way home and dinner is ready when you are.

Lombardi's offers an expanding selection of California wines and ice-cold beer. Lombardi's is also available for catering your special or corporate occasion "for 10-10,000!" with the barbeque prepared fresh on-site. Prices are very moderate from $2.50 - $15.95.
